Following the usual battle for breakfast it was time to further check out this incredible ship !
With Europe coming out of winter most on board took the opportunity to sun bake and \ or use the ships numerous heated pools causing a near `white out from so much pale skin !
Sitting back and relaxing on our balcony it was amazing to look out at the endless horizon knowing that the African, European and Asian continents border this historic sea.
The night was labelled as gala dress and included presentation of the ships key officers and captain , a theatrical rendition of top opera hits ( excellento )and dinner with many a guest wearing bow tie or like Kylee, Tegan and Monika a long evening dress ... Being rebellious I declined both and settled for smart casual instead !
The occasion is part of cruising tradition one that it many young and older cruisers alike seemed to enjoy as evident by many having `glamour` shots taken by one of the hordes of travelling photographers.
Despite the event it will be great to relieve our sea legs with tommorrows arrival at Izmir in Turkey.
