The `mule train (it seemed like it with all the bags we were carrying !} headed off to CDG airport by bus where we said our sad goodbyes to the girls and ensured that they at least got on the right flight .... due to arrive home some 24 gruelling hours later !
Team Litchy now halved ( Monika & self) took in a couple of more hours rest back at our hotel before returning to CDG to take a short flight to Prague again on one of those flying sardine cans they call planes !
Arrival Prague was in beautiful weather, they like Paris had also turned the corner - only 1 week ago they'd experienced snow with a top temp of - 2 c yet today it was a very warm 22 c perfect for a Prague intro.
Our hotel is centrally located just 5 mins from the Old Town and just round the from a lovely classical theatre where we have booked to take in a concert tomorrow - one small problem with all my formal clothes with the girls heading home my choice will be between my trekking gear or my Lycra cycling shorts ... let me think for a bit !
There were only 2 things left to do 1 ) try some local food which we did at our hotels restaurant and after 4 courses of Goulash soup, goats cheese and cranberry, sliced beef with sauce and dumplings and some pancakes we didnt need to worry about achieving no. 2 which was to have an early night and look forward to exploring beautiful Prague tomorrow !
So much for operation cut back .... !
